Family & School Collaboration
At Meadowlark Elementary we strive in increasing and improving our involvement and engagement with our families and communities. We seek to support our students both in and outside of their school and classroom.
The Family and School Collaboration Department of our Salt Lake City School District helps build the capacity of our school staff to honor family's funds of knowledge, connect family engagement to student learning and create welcoming environments. We also create opportunities for parents/families to build their capacity to engage in multiple roles such as supporters, encourages, monitors, advocates, decision makers and collaborators -Mapp, K and Kuttner, P. What can we help you with?
We understand that every family has different needs beyond our student's classrooms. Our Family & School Collaboration Specialist is glad to help in navigating needs that you or someone you know may be experiencing.
- Bus Passes
- Emergency Funds
- DI Vouchers
- Vision Referrals
- Dental Referrals
- Food Pantry
- Volunteers
- All volunteers should have filled out the application to be entered into our volunteer database. This helps the district make sure that unsupervised volunteers have been properly screened before being allowed to work with our students.
- The volunteer application is: Get Involved - Volunteer Form (slcschools.org)
If there are other needs that are not directly listed here, please contact us so we can help you navigate the proper resources.
