About Me

I am happy to join the faculty at Meadowlark as the Library Technology Teacher.  I attended Idaho State University and graduated with a bachelors degree in Communications from Brigham Young University.  After working for six years as a journalist and in the newspaper industry I took a few years off start my family.  In 2009 I returned to college at Weber State University and earned a masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in elementary reading and research.  At the same time I completed my Library Endorsement at Utah State University.  I love reading and learning and look forward to both for the rest of my life!  Some of my favorite books include the Harry Potter series, The Lightning Thief Series and The Thief by Meghan Whalen Turner.  I also love writing and exploring nature with my husband who is a Wildlife Biologist and Geographic Information Specialist for the state of Utah.  We love to travel and especially watch birds!  My hobbies include my four children and a very fat cat named Zen…
